Gear Shifter Shaft Saver for CRF300L CRF300 Rally

$17.00 USD

CRF300 gear shifter rod saver. Protect your CRF’s gear shifter shaft from damage during drops and impacts with a simple gear shaft saver.

Mounted over the gear shifter rod, between the shift lever and your engine case, these simple shaft savers reinforce the shifter rod to protect it during impacts – both from bending, and from being pushed inside the engine case.

A damaged shifter mechanism from a minor (or major) drop can ruin your week, not just your day. Your first problem is that you’re stuck on the trails, unable to shift gear; in the best case scenario, you limp home in the gear that the transmission is wedge in. Your second problem is that replacing a damaged shifter assembly requires first waiting for parts, and then splitting the cases. It takes time, and money, and keeps you out of action.

Add a simple shifter rod saver to reduce the risk.

Designed specifically for the CRF300L, the shifter rod saver is made from strong, lightweight aluminium which will not rust.

Made in northern Thailand by enduro riders, for enduro riders.

Fits CRF300L and CRF300 Rally. Free worldwide shipping.

Installation Notes: Leave the sprocket cover in place, but loosen off all the sprocket cover bolts as much as possible. Then slide the saver onto the gear shifter shaft, lining up the cut-out to fit over the sprocket cover bracket. Slide the shifter lever back onto the shaft, and then insert the lever bolt. Inserting the lever bolt is difficult with the sprocket cover in place, which is why it is necessary to loosen off all the sprocket cover bolts. (This step takes patience.) Once the lever bolt is inserted and tightened, finally tighten the sprocket cover bolts.
