KLX230 Fork Upgrade Kit

KLX230 fork upgrade kit to address overly soft suspension on dualsport models with conventional forks. This is a simple kit to stiffen front fork damping and preload, with four levels of adjustment.
Here’s how it works:
1. Preload. The kit supplies a set of custom fork caps with preload adjustment screws.
2. Compression. The kit supplies a set of ‘boots’ which should be installed at the end of the damping rod inside each fork. The boots have three different sizes of oil holes, allowing you to select the preferred degree of stiffness. In the fourth position, there is no external oil hole, although the boot still allows restricted lateral oil flow: this is the stiffest setting (recommended for jumps/motocross).
3. Fork seals and fork oil. The kit includes a new set of fork seals. Oil is not included, however we recommend upgrading to 20W.

Bottomed out my front forks on my 2023 KLX230S so was looking for something like this without having to swap out the forks entirely. Great kit, relatively easy install, and high quality parts. Huge difference that you will notice immediately. Much happier with the bike now. The fork caps don’t come with new O ring gaskets so you need to use the ones off your stock plugs. No big deal and should be obvious as you’re installing it but just in case… Very happy with purchase overall.
