Mounted over the gear shifter rod, between the shift lever and your engine case, these simple shaft savers reinforce the shifter rod to protect it during impacts – both from bending, and from being pushed inside the engine case.

A damaged shifter mechanism from a minor (or major) drop can ruin your week, not just your day. Your first problem is that you’re stuck on the trails, unable to shift gear; in the best case scenario, you limp home in the gear that the transmission is wedge in. Your second problem is that replacing a damaged shifter assembly requires first waiting for parts, and then splitting the cases. It takes time, and money, and keeps you out of action.

Designed specifically for the CRF300L, the shifter rod saver is made from strong, lightweight aluminium which will not rust.

*Warning: This is a pain to install. You have to loosen off all the surrounding bolts to make space to slip the rod saver into place. It’s less hassle than having to split the cases to replace your gear shift shaft, but it’s still a hassle. You have been warned.*
